Half term Halloween Fun!

What a beautiful sunny start to the Half term holidays. We get very excited at this time of the year with Halloween and Bonfire Night so close together and it's even better this year as Halloween is during the half term holidays. The children were desperate to get the decorations out of the loft to dress the windows and the front of the house, so that is going to be our job tomorrow.
Today we decided to make miniature ghosts and "Wicked" witches hats to hang from our spooky tree.

Mulled Wine, Mince Pies and Markets

Well its getting to that time of year for those of us in the 'craft' world organising Christmas stalls to sell our little projects. I had a very enjoyable morning yesterday helping to raise money for Macmilan Cancer Research as it was the country wide coffee morning. It was not only in aide of a great cause but it also helped me to show case my Reindeer Christmas Sacks. I was very pleased with the response I got as I do love them and think they are a beautiful addition to a 'Christmas fire place'.

Rainy Day Activities

Well the school holidays have arrived and so has the rain, are we surprised, I'm not?! I do however have high hopes of sunshine at some point over the next two weeks but today it is gloomy and cold and the children have already started complaining that they have nothing to do.
My children see me regularly either hand stitching or on my sewing machine and Evie often sits and starts little projects with me.
Evie, like me is a big fan of 'The Great British Sewing Bee', so today I decided it would be nice for her to have a go with the sewing machine and never wanting to miss out on anything, so did Freddie, he was as eager as she was.

'Baby Blogging Steps'

Here goes…….

Today I spent a lovely day with two great friends who inspire me with their creative knowledge and positive ideas. After many cups of coffee, yummy cake, a bit of gossip and chit chat they convinced me to enter the world of blogging. I have read many blogs and have wanted to do this for some time, however always felt is was  something 'other' people do. "Who would want to read about me?", or "What would I write about?" were questions I asked myself. Today I decided was the day I would tentatively join the world of blogging, so here with 'Baby blogging steps' I start the new chapter for 'Bags, Buttons & Bows" and see where it may lead me?
